Dr. Margo Harrison is a board-certified Ob/Gyn, NIH-funded academic physician at the University of Colorado, and the founder of Period Health Clinic. Dear patients, families, and members of our community,
For too long, women and girls have been told that pain, unpredictable cycles, and disruptive hormonal symptoms are simply things they must learn to live with. Too many have left medical appointments feeling rushed, dismissed, or more confused than when they arrived. I founded Period Health Clinic to offer a different kind of experience — one built on time, education, respect, and the simple promise that you will be believed.
As an Ob/Gyn, I have seen the enormous gap between what patients want from their doctors and what the traditional healthcare system often provides. Patients want to understand why their bodies work the way they do. They want the time to tell their whole story, ask questions, and participate meaningfully in decisions about their health. They deserve a doctor who will acknowledge when the evidence is limited and remain beside them while searching for answers.
Period Health Clinic focuses on the menstrual cycle across the entire menstrual lifespan — from preparing for a first period through adolescence, adulthood, perimenopause, and menopause. The cycle can feel mysterious and intimidating, especially as it changes during different stages of life. My goal is to make it understandable and to help each patient develop a healthier, more confident relationship with her body.
I believe that if a symptom is interfering with the way you want to live, it deserves attention. It does not matter whether someone else considers it "normal." You are the expert on your own experience. Whether you want to reduce period pain, better understand an irregular cycle, feel more like yourself throughout the month, prepare for pregnancy, or navigate menopause with confidence, your goals should guide your care.
I cannot promise that every concern will have a simple explanation. I can promise that you will not be left to navigate it alone.
Period Health Clinic is a virtual-care practice serving Colorado residents. Virtual visits allow us to connect in a comfortable, unrushed setting without a waiting room or the pressures that so often make healthcare feel impersonal. It is an opportunity for you to bring your whole self into the conversation and experience the kind of Ob/Gyn visit you may have always wanted.
Better period health means understanding your cycle well enough to use that knowledge in support of your own goals and potential. What that looks like is deeply personal — and the decision should belong to you.
I look forward to listening, learning, and helping you build a more empowered relationship with your cycle.
Warmly,

Dr. Margo Harrison, MD, MPH, FACOG
Founder, Period Health Clinic
A clinician who spent over a decade studying when care goes wrong.
Dr. Harrison brings more than fifteen years of experience leading clinical teams and eleven years of clinical research to every visit — and the conviction that a careful history is a central diagnostic tool, not a courtesy.
The gap she saw
In years of clinical work, she watched care start too late — after pain had taken over, after bleeding had disrupted a week, or after someone had spent years wondering whether what she feels is simply something to tolerate.
The conviction that shaped her
As the founder of Wave Bye, a proactive period-care company, she worked to close the gap between when menstrual symptoms begin and when medicine responds. Period pain should not decide what someone is capable of.
Why this clinic
Period Health Clinic is the clinical expression of that work: enough focus to hear the full story, enough rigor to make sense of it, and enough respect to explain the options clearly.

Trained at the institutions that set the standard.
Every step of Dr. Harrison's path was built around rigor — from undergraduate through medical school, public health, residency, and an NIH-funded academic career.

"A patient does not have to become her own specialist just to be taken seriously. I built Period Health Clinic so the work begins by listening — and the goal is not simply fewer symptoms. It is more life."
